CARE's Preventative Maintenance Program

The CARE PMP includes routine checks of your systems:

  • Electrical (conduit, wiring, motor, switches ...)
  • Hydraulics (oil level, lines and hoses, pumps, connections ...)
  • Structural (body, seals, hinges, guides, safety covers ...)
  • General Condition (appearance, mechanical, cleanliness ...)

And, after our service and inspection, we meticulously log and report what we checked, found, adjusted, and repaired. We extend the life of your equipment, typically save our customers a notable amount of money, and remove the worry of maintaining your vital waste equipment.

CARE Annual Chute Inspection

CARE performs a 32 point checklist to ensure your chute sysytem is at peak performance.

Protect your company. The CARE Team can perform your annual chute condition check, in accordance with NFPA 82. This relates to intake and discharge doors of Waste and Linen Chutes.

Our service professional checks that that discharge door rolls freely, inspects any cables, chains, and hooks for properly functioning, ensures the door frame is straight & has no build-up, and much more. They will check that the unit's intake is self-closing and operateing properly, and hinges and door frame on the intake are in good working order.

CARE's ECOLO Odor Control Maintenance System

CARE offers a rental and maintenance package for ECOLO's AirPro Control System, which includes a vapor system, the CARE "Always Full" Vapor Supply, Installation, and equipment repairs or replacement, if needed. Our service is based on a 12-month commitment and is billed either quarterly or annually. CARE offers significant savings to our customers that enjoy this service. Depending on your needs, there are four basic types of compactor.

Self-Contained. Self-contained compactors are one complete unitized unit intended primarily, although not exclusively, for the collection of materials where liquids are present.

This compactor is most commonly used for the disposal of wet waste. It is referred to as "self-contained" as it is a sealed unit to prevent leakage with the compactor's charge head and container permanently attached to each other and mounted on a frame style understructure to match the hauler's truck. The compactor is unitized to control liquid. It can be activated in a variety of ways and will accommodate various hoppers and cart dumpers. When the compactor is full the hauler pulls the entire unit onto the truck, normally from the charge chamber end, hauls it to the disposal site, and opens the rear discharge door to empty the contents. It is then returned to its home location.


Stationary. Stationary compactors are intended primarily, although not exclusively, for the collection of materials where liquids are not present.

Selecting the correct compactor begins with its application. This compactor is most commonly used for the disposal of heavier dry waste or recyclables. The compactor is positioned and anchored to a concrete pad. A receiver container is then coupled to the compactor using heavy-duty hooks to secure it in place during the compaction phase. When the container is full the hooks are unlatched and the container is hauled away to be emptied. Stationary compactors range from small sizes for under the chute applications inside buildings to very large models which are intended for use at transfer station.


High Rise. When a high rise building calls for internal trash chutes a small compactor is often placed directly below it. The chute provides the tenant the convenience of disposing of their trash by merely bagging their trash and dropping it into the chute. The compactor receives the trash and presses it into a container.

This compactor is the most commonly used compactor in conjunction with a trash chute. The compactor is anchored to the floor where it receives the trash. It is activated by a photo eye and packs the trash into a 2 to 4 cubic yard container. When the container is full it is disconnected from the compactor and later emptied by the hauler's frontload truck.


Small Compactors. These are small stationary compactors (2 to 4 cubic yard capacities) and are designed for low to moderate volume waste generators. They are perfect for applications such as retail stores, distribution centers, warehouses, shopping malls, and other businesses that generate low to moderate volumes of dry waste, and would like to enjoy the benefits of compaction of their waste stream.

These machines can also be used to isolate and compact recyclable materials such as cardboard and plastic where a baler is not suitable or practical and are designed to require minimal maintenance and repair to limit the disruption to your operations. Their hydraulic power units are designed and manufactured to maintain complete quality control from system design through manufacturing completion. Each machine is optimally designed for its intended application, with steel reinforcement in the areas that see the highest force, for long term durability.
